From 18th to 25th July, 18th delegates from 5 different countries (Japan, United Kingdom, Portugal, United States and Australia) travelled to Rio de Janeiro for an Arts & Homelessness occupation, part of the Rio2016 Cultural Olympiad. Over 30 events happened during the week, from workshops to meetings, pop up performances and a final event held at Biblioteca Parque Estadual, in which all the work developed along the course of three years was presented. Over 200 people with experience in homelessness were involved and 10 partnering organisations in Brazil supported this adventure!

The events are a result of a three year research and capacity building programme between UK and Brazil, trying to expand and discuss the Arts & Homelessness sector in the South America country. Here’s a taste of what happened:
